Which Drone Fits You?

Nine real drones, nine kinds of buyer. Skip the spec sheet — find out which one is actually built for how you shoot.

The short answer. There is no single "best" DJI drone — there is a best drone for what you are about to do with it. Never flown before? Start with the Neo 2 or Flip. Traveling light? The Mini 5 Pro class is built for that. Shooting a wedding? The Air 3S's second lens shoots candid guest footage without hovering overhead. Working professionally? The Mavic 4 Pro's triple Hasselblad camera is the tool. Want to fly first and decide the shot afterward? The Avata 360 and Antigravity A1 both capture in every direction at once. Jump to your section below, or scan the quick verdicts first.

Never flown before? Start here.

Both of these are built to remove the fear of a first flight — launch from your palm, or fly wrapped in a full propeller cage. Good for a first trip to Jebel Akhdar, a kid's birthday at the beach, or simply learning the controls before you spend more.

DJI Neo 2 Fly More Combo

DJI Neo 2 Fly More Combo

174.900 OMR

151g, palm-launch and gesture control — no separate flying skill required. ActiveTrack keeps you framed, and the Fly More Combo's 3 batteries plus charging hub give you roughly 57 minutes of combined flying in one outing.

DJI Flip Fly More Combo

DJI Flip Fly More Combo

279.900 OMR

Full-coverage propeller guards mean it's genuinely safe to fly indoors or around children — a step up in camera quality too, with a 1/1.3-inch sensor and 4K/60fps HDR. The Fly More Combo adds a second battery for a longer session.

Travel creator — light bag, big sensor

This is the drone that actually makes it into carry-on. Under 250g keeps both of these in the lightest weight class most countries recognize, and the 1-inch sensor means the footage doesn't look like a toy once you're editing it on a laptop in the hotel room.

DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo

DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo

419.900 OMR

A 1-inch 50MP sensor at 249.9g — the biggest sensor DJI has fit in this weight class. The 225° rotating gimbal shoots true vertical for Reels and Stories without cropping, and omnidirectional sensing covers you flying between buildings or trees.

DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo Plus

DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo Plus

465.000 OMR

Same airframe, same 1-inch sensor — this combo swaps in the higher-capacity Intelligent Flight Battery for longer sessions when you're somewhere you can't recharge often, like a multi-day desert or mountain trip.

Weddings & events

A wedding drone needs to work fast and stay unobtrusive — guests notice a drone hovering directly overhead. The Air 3S's second lens changes that: shoot candid arrival and reception moments from further away, then switch to the wide lens for the sweeping venue shot.

DJI Air 3S Fly More Combo

DJI Air 3S Fly More Combo

609.000 OMR

Dual camera — a 1-inch 50MP main lens plus a 70mm 48MP tele with 3x optical zoom — so you get the guest close-up and the wide venue shot without repositioning. 45 minutes of flight and an included ND filter set for the golden-hour ceremony light.

Pro production — a full shoot day, ready out of the box

Both of these carry the same Hasselblad triple-camera system and the same Infinity gimbal — the difference is what you need for the day. The base kit is a complete professional set; the Creator Combo adds storage headroom and a controller with its own built-in monitor for a production crew shooting long-form or high-volume work.

DJI Mavic 4 Pro Fly More Combo

DJI Mavic 4 Pro Fly More Combo

1,169.900 OMR

A Hasselblad triple camera — 100MP main, 48MP medium tele, 50MP tele — for coverage from a wide establishing shot to a compressed close-up, in 6K/60fps HDR. The Infinity gimbal rotates 360° with up to 70° upward tilt. This combo includes 3 batteries, 4 spare propeller pairs and a storage cover for a full-day shoot.

DJI Mavic 4 Pro 512GB Creator Combo

DJI Mavic 4 Pro 512GB Creator Combo

1,489.900 OMR

The same camera and gimbal, paired with 512GB of onboard storage and the DJI RC Pro 2 controller's high-brightness built-in screen — built for production teams shooting long-form or high-volume footage who don't want to be swapping cards mid-shoot.

FPV & 360° — fly first, frame the shot later

Both of these capture in every direction at once, so you never have to commit to a framing before you've even flown the scene — you pick the angle afterward, in the edit. They're built on completely different systems, so the choice comes down to which ecosystem and flight style suits you.

DJI Avata 360 with DJI RC 2

DJI Avata 360 with DJI RC 2

294.900 OMR

DJI's first native 360° FPV drone. Dual 1/1.1-inch 64MP sensors shoot 8K/60fps 360° video (or single-lens 4K/60fps), with omnidirectional obstacle sensing plus forward LiDAR. Compatible with DJI Goggles 3/N3 and RC Motion 3 for a true immersive FPV feel.

ANTIGRAVITY A1 8K 360 Infinity Bundle

ANTIGRAVITY A1 8K 360 Infinity Bundle

799.000 OMR

A separate brand from DJI, built entirely around the reframe-later idea: 8K 360° capture, Antigravity Vision goggles with a 200-inch equivalent screen, and a motion controller you fly with your hand. The Infinity Bundle ships 3 high-capacity batteries for up to 39 minutes per flight.

Frequently asked

Do I need to register a drone to fly it in Oman?

Rules depend on the drone and how you're using it. A CE mark (carried by several drones here) is a European classification, not Omani approval — Oman's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has its own registration requirements, separate from any manufacturer certification. Check current rules with Oman CAA before your first flight, especially for commercial or event work.

Which drone is easiest for a total beginner?

The DJI Neo 2 — it launches from your palm with a gesture, no separate controller skills required. If you're flying around kids or indoors, the DJI Flip's full propeller guard makes it the safer choice at the next price step up.

Which is best for a wedding or event shoot?

The DJI Air 3S. Its second, 70mm telephoto lens shoots candid guest and ceremony moments from a real distance instead of hovering directly overhead, and its included ND filter set handles the golden-hour light most Oman weddings are shot in.

Can I take these on a flight?

The Mini 5 Pro and Mini 5 Pro Plus sit at 249.9g — DJI's lightest sensor-equipped class, which faces fewer registration and training requirements in most countries and regions than heavier drones. Always check the specific airline's carry-on battery rules and your destination country's drone regulations before you fly commercially.

What's the real difference between the Mavic 4 Pro and the 512GB Creator Combo?

The camera, gimbal, obstacle sensing and flight time are identical on both. The Creator Combo adds 512GB of onboard storage and swaps the standard DJI RC2 controller for the DJI RC Pro 2, which has its own high-brightness built-in screen — worth the difference if you're shooting long-form or high-volume footage and don't want to manage storage cards mid-shoot.

Is the Antigravity A1 a DJI drone?

No — it's a separate brand from DJI. It's built around the same "fly first, frame later" idea as the Avata 360, capturing 8K 360° footage with its own Antigravity Vision goggles and motion controller, but it's a different system with its own ecosystem, not a DJI accessory.
