Its 1.0-type stacked sensor is roughly 4x larger in area than the P1100's 1/2.3-inch sensor, its lens stays a bright f/2.4-4.0 through the zoom range, and its 575-point AI autofocus, 30fps bursts, and 4K 120p, 10-bit 4:2:2 video are in a different class entirely. Better in low light, better for cropping, better for video.

You want reach nothing else in this price range touches — 125x optical zoom to a 3000mm equivalent, for the moon, distant wildlife, or plane-spotting, plus a fully vari-angle screen.
