ANTIGRAVITY A1 in Oman: Buy or Hire the 8K 360 Drone, and What the Drone Law Says

Price, hire rate, installments, the specs that matter, and the licence rules before you fly

Want to film everything around you in one flight? Here is how to get the ANTIGRAVITY A1 in Oman — buy it, hire it or pay in installments — and what the drone law asks of you first.

ANTIGRAVITY A1 8K 360 drone with Antigravity Vision goggles

The ANTIGRAVITY A1 is an 8K 360° drone that its maker calls the world's first 360 drone. It films in every direction at once, so you fly first and choose your framing afterwards, watching through the Antigravity Vision goggles and steering with the Antigravity Grip. It weighs 249 g with the standard battery, flies up to 39 minutes on the high-capacity battery, sends video up to 6 km on the CE version and resists level 5 wind. At Skyorbits the Infinity Bundle costs 799.000 OMR including VAT, or you can hire it for 35.000 OMR a day. In Oman every drone must be registered with the Civil Aviation Authority, and because the A1 carries a camera it needs a licence to fly — the under-250 g exemption covers only toy drones without cameras.

  • Buy it if you will fly often: 799.000 OMR for the full bundle, with three high-capacity batteries and the goggles.

What the A1 does

  • Fly First, Frame Later: it records the whole 360° view, so you pick the angle after the flight instead of pointing the camera before take-off.
  • Goggles and motion control: you see the flight through the Antigravity Vision goggles and steer with the Antigravity Grip.
  • Official flight features: FreeMotion Mode, Sky Path, Sky Genie, Deep Track, Auto Edit, Invisible Drone, Point-to-Fly Motion Control, Virtual Cockpit, Voice Assistant and Navigation Assist.
  • Safety: omnidirectional 360° obstacle sensing with Brake and Bypass modes.

How in-house installments work

Oman's drone law, in plain words

  • Register it. Everyone who owns or holds a drone must register it with the Civil Aviation Authority (Decision 1412/2023, Article 2).
  • A camera means a licence. The only exemptions are indoor use and toy drones of up to 250 g and 100 m that carry no camera or data sensors (Article 8).
  • Licence conditions: 18 or over, third-party liability insurance for the drone, and the authority's test or training (Article 9).
  • Where to fly: hobby flights are booked on Serb, the CAA-licensed platform, in the green zones it shows. Check the app before every flight — the zones change.
  • The fine: 500 OMR for flying without a licence, doubled for a repeat.
  • When you buy from us, we transfer the drone to your Serb account before handover.

«لعب الأطفال من نوع الطائرات بدون طيار (الدرون) والتي لا يزيد وزنها على (٢٥٠) مائتين وخمسين جراما، ولا يزيد أقصى ارتفاع لها على (١٠٠) مائة متر فوق سطح الأرض، ما لم تحمل مجسات لجمع البيانات أو أجهزة تصوير.»

CAA Decision 1412/2023, Article 8 — the licence exemption (Arabic original)

In English: “Children's toy drones weighing no more than 250 grams, with a maximum height of no more than 100 metres above the ground, unless they carry sensors for collecting data or imaging devices.” (our translation). Rules change often — check Serb and the CAA before you fly; this guide is not legal advice.

Frequently asked questions

What is the price of the ANTIGRAVITY A1 in Oman?

799.000 OMR including VAT for the Infinity Bundle at Skyorbits: drone, Antigravity Vision goggles, Antigravity Grip motion controller and three high-capacity batteries. Live availability is on the product page.

Does the A1 need a licence in Oman if it weighs 249 g?

Yes. The licence exemption in CAA Decision 1412/2023 covers only indoor use and toy drones of up to 250 g that carry no camera or data sensors. The A1 has a camera, and our bundle's high-capacity batteries put it over 249 g anyway.

How do I get a drone permit in Oman?

Register the drone with the Civil Aviation Authority, then apply for your flights on Serb (flyserb.com), the CAA-licensed platform, which shows the green zones where flying is allowed. A licence requires you to be 18 or over, to insure the drone for third-party liability and to pass the authority's test or training.

What is the fine for flying a drone without a licence in Oman?

500 OMR under the annex of CAA Decision 1412/2023, and the fine doubles for a repeat offence.

Can I hire the ANTIGRAVITY A1 in Muscat?

Yes, 35.000 OMR a day including VAT from our Al Khoud showroom. Omani nationals bring their original civil card; non-Omanis leave a refundable deposit of the item's full value. Book your dates on our rentals page.

Is it cheaper to buy or to hire the A1?

Hiring costs less if you fly it on fewer than 23 days. From about 23 days of hire, buying the 799.000 OMR bundle costs the same or less.

How long does the A1 fly, and how far can it go?

Up to 39 minutes with the high-capacity battery (24 minutes with the standard one), and up to 6 km of video transmission on the CE version we sell.

Can I buy the A1 in installments?

Yes. In-house installments, no interest, for Omani nationals aged 18 or over, on carts from 200.000 OMR, with management approval; a Bank Muscat or Meethaq credit-card plan for everyone else.
