24.2MP APS-C with Real-time Eye AF, 11 fps and 4K — the all-round Sony body, with the 16-50mm lens in the box.
The Sony a6400 pairs a 24.2MP APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor with the BIONZ X processor and an autofocus system that still defines this class: 425 phase-detection points across the frame, acquisition in 0.02 seconds, plus Real-time Eye AF and Real-time Tracking that lock onto a subject and stay there while it moves.
It shoots at up to 11 fps, records 4K from a Super 35mm readout with no pixel binning, and has no 30-minute recording limit. The 3.0-type 921,600-dot touchscreen tilts a full 180° upward for filming yourself — the reason this body became a default for vloggers and solo creators.
The 2,359,296-dot OLED viewfinder keeps it usable in bright sun, and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC send frames to a phone without a card reader. It comes with the E PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS power-zoom kit lens — a stabilised, genuinely pocketable everyday zoom.
Who it's for: first serious camera, vlogging, travel, and anyone who wants Sony's tracking autofocus without a full-frame budget.
