What's the best lens for dental photography?

A 100mm macro lens with 1:1 magnification is the most recommended: it records the tooth at true size and keeps you at a comfortable distance from the patient.

Ring flash or twin flash?

A ring flash is easier and gives even light; a twin flash lets you angle its two heads to show more of the tooth's shape.

What settings should I start with?

Manual mode, ISO 100, f/8 to f/11, white balance on flash, then adjust the flash power.

Do I need an expensive camera for dental photography?

No. Dental photography uses only a few camera features, so the brand matters less than you'd think. What you need is three right pieces: a camera, a macro lens and a flash made for close-up work. A mirrorless body is lighter in the hand, which helps when you shoot many cases a day.

What else do I need besides the lens and the flash?

Four clinic tools complete the picture. Cheek retractors hold the lips and cheeks back so the light and the lens can reach the teeth. Intraoral mirrors show chewing surfaces and hidden areas; warm the mirror first so it doesn't fog. A black contraster behind the tooth shows its edge and translucency. A cross-polarising filter with a grey card cuts the shine so the tooth's colour reads truer when you match the shade. Your dental supplier carries these.

How long does delivery take in Oman?

Home delivery is 2.100 OMR including VAT (free from 50.000 OMR) across Oman in 1-2 working days. Collection from a courier office is 1.050 OMR (free from 50.000 OMR). Express within Bawshar and Seeb is 4.200 OMR for in-stock items (free on orders from 500.000 OMR). Showroom pickup in Al Khoudh is free.

Does Skyorbits handle warranty claims?

Yes - we submit every warranty claim for you. Electronic items carry a 1-year manufacturer warranty from the purchase date; keep the box and contents for the first 15 days.

Can I pay in installments?

Installments: Bank Muscat and Meethaq credit-card plans for everyone, or our in-house plan for Omani nationals 18+ (from 200.000 OMR, approval needed).

What is the return and exchange policy?

If an item has a manufacturing defect, you can return it within 15 days with the box, all contents and the invoice. We can't take back a working item for a change of mind, so ask us before you buy and we'll help you choose. After 15 days we send the item to the authorized service center. Exchanges are handled case by case.

How do I request a repair?

Start a repair or warranty request online, then bring the device, invoice and box (within 15 days) to our Al Khoudh showroom in Muscat. We track every case in our system.
