DJI Avata 360: DJI's First Native-360° FPV Drone (2026)

Shoot everything, point later. DJI's first drone that films a full 360° sphere in 8K — reframe any angle in post. Here's the Avata 360 in 60 seconds, in stock at SkyOrbits, Muscat.
DJI Avata 360 — first native-360° FPV drone, 8K — SkyOrbits Oman

DJI just did something new: a drone that films everything around it at once. The Avata 360 is DJI's first FPV drone with native 360° capture — two lenses record a full sphere in 8K while you fly, so you don't have to nail the framing in the air. You point the camera later, on your computer, pulling any angle you want out of a single flight. It's the classic Avata thrill, plus the freedom of a 360 camera.

Why 360° changes how you fly

With a normal drone you have to aim the camera while you fly — miss the moment and it's gone. The Avata 360 films the whole sphere, so there's nothing to aim. Fly the line once, then in editing you reframe to any direction: chase, orbit, look back, look up. One flight becomes many shots — and you can drop the same footage straight into immersive/VR headsets.

Who it's for

Creators & vloggers

Fly once, get every angle. Reframe the same clip into chase, orbit and reveal shots — more content from a single battery.

Immersive & VR

A full 8K sphere is ready-made for 360 video and VR headsets — real immersive footage without a separate 360 rig.

Action & FPV

The Avata thrill with a safety net: capture the whole scene, then decide where the story is when you edit.

Quick questions

What makes the DJI Avata 360 different from other DJI drones?

It's DJI's first FPV drone with native 360° capture. Two sensors record a full sphere in 8K while you fly, so instead of aiming the camera in the air you reframe any angle later in editing — something no earlier DJI drone could do.

Does it really shoot 8K in 360°?

Yes. The Avata 360 records native 8K (2:1) 360° video at 7680×3840 up to 60fps in HDR, with a 6K option too. It can also switch to single-lens mode for classic 4K (16:9) footage up to 60fps.

Why can you shoot everything and point the camera later?

Because it captures the whole 360° sphere, you don't decide the framing while flying. Back on your computer you point the virtual camera anywhere in the sphere — chase, orbit, look back — turning one flight into many different shots.

How long does it fly and how far does the video reach?

Up to about 23 minutes of flight per battery, with DJI's O4+ transmission giving a video range of up to 20 km (FCC). It has 42 GB of built-in storage so you can start recording without a memory card.

Do I need to register a drone in Oman?

Rules can change, so we don't give legal advice — but registration or permits may apply. Check the official requirements with Oman's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) before flying. Our team can also help you get set up.
