Update now
A stability update. Plan for about 10 minutes on a computer with the USB cable that came with the camera.
How to update
The ZV-E10 updates from a computer only (Sony provides no memory-card version).
- Download the updater for Windows or Mac from Sony's page (button below). Your computer must be online, and Windows PCs with an ARM processor are not supported.
- Use a fully charged NP-FW50 battery (at least three bars) and take the memory card out of the camera.
- On the camera: Menu > Setup3 > USB Connection, and make sure Mass Storage is selected.
- Start the updater on the computer first, then turn the camera on and connect it with the USB cable supplied with the camera. Follow the updater's steps.
- It takes about 10 minutes. Don't turn the camera off, unplug the cable or let the computer sleep.
If the camera screen stays black for more than 10 minutes: unplug the cable, take the battery out for a few minutes, restart the computer and run the update again.
