Update now
A stability update; if your lens is older than Ver.02, it also adds AF assist in video.
How to update
- Update your camera body to its latest firmware first (Sigma's advice).
- Download Sigma's Lens System Software Updater for this lens (Update_SigmaC1850F28V2) from Sigma's page (button below). On a Mac, also install Sony's "Sony Camera Driver".
- Start the updater before you connect the camera. On the camera, set USB Connection to Mass Storage.
- Take the memory card out, keep the lens on the camera, and connect the camera to the computer with its USB cable. Follow the updater's steps.
- Use a fully charged battery or the AC adapter, and keep the camera on and connected until it shows "Lens update complete." Then switch the camera off, take the battery out, put it back and restart.
On a Mac, Sigma's updater supports macOS 12, 13 and 14.
