Worth installing if you use the noise-cancelling or HearThrough settings, or charge on a wireless dock. Don't disconnect the headset during the update.
How to update
Jabra has guides for updating its headsets with the Jabra Direct app on a computer, or the Jabra Sound+ app on a phone. Jabra's product page lists this firmware for Windows. Jabra's own guides are below.
With Jabra Direct (computer):
- Turn the headset on and connect it to your computer: with the USB cable, or the Jabra Link Bluetooth adapter.
- In Jabra Direct, select your headset. If a firmware update is available, an Update now button shows.
- Click Update now (or the Updates icon in the left menu), then click Update next to your headset.
- Choose your language from the list and click Update.
- Don't disconnect the headset at any point during the update.
- When it finishes successfully, follow any instructions on the screen.
If an update fails, Jabra Direct shows a notification: click OK, then Recover next to your headset, then Update, and again don't disconnect it. If recovery fails, contact Jabra Support.
With Jabra Sound+ (phone):
- Turn the headset on and connect it to your phone.
- Open Jabra Sound+ and tap the Discover icon.
- Tap Update now, and agree to the license terms to start.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. A notification shows when the update is complete.
Turn on notifications for Jabra Sound+ and it tells you when a new firmware is available.
