A stability update. Insta360 says some firmware is rolled out to users in stages and, while official, may not be listed on its website.
How to update
- Make sure X4 has at least 20% battery.
- Connect X4 to the Insta360 app. The app tells you when a new firmware update is available; follow the on-screen steps.
- Keep the camera close to your phone and keep the app open until it finishes.
Or with a computer: download the firmware from Insta360's page (button below), connect X4 by USB-C in USB mode, copy the file Insta360X4FW.bin to the camera's root folder without renaming it, then disconnect. X4 restarts by itself when the update is complete.
