FUJIFILM X100VI firmware update

Latest version: 1.31 · 26 Jul 2025

Update, but read this first

What's new

  • Minor bugs fixed (FUJIFILM's own wording).
  • If you update from a version before 1.30, the 1.30 changes come with it: use FUJIFILM XApp instead of Camera Remote on iPhone (iOS 13 or later), and Android Bluetooth pairing needs Bluetooth 4.2 or later.
  • Also from 1.30: you can no longer print straight from the camera to an instax SHARE SP-1/2/3 printer; print through the phone app instead.

Should you update?

Update, but read this first

A minor bug-fix update. Read first if your camera is below 1.30: after updating, use the latest FUJIFILM XApp on your phone, and instax printing goes through the phone.

How to update

  1. Download the firmware (file FPUPDATE.DAT) from FUJIFILM's page (button below). If your computer renamed it (for example with "(1)"), the camera will not recognise it, so delete old copies first.
  2. Prepare a formatted memory card (formatting it in the camera is safest), then copy FPUPDATE.DAT to the card.
  3. Use a fully charged battery, put the card in the camera and start the firmware update as FUJIFILM's page describes.
  4. It takes up to about 5 minutes. Don't turn the camera off or touch its controls during the update.

You can update from any older version straight to the latest one. After updating, update the FUJIFILM XApp on your phone too, or it will not connect.
