The update can reset flight settings such as Return-to-Home altitude and maximum flight distance. Write your settings down before updating and set them again after.
How to update
- Update the DJI Fly app on your phone to the latest version first.
- Charge the aircraft battery and the remote controller.
- Turn on the remote controller and the aircraft and connect them in DJI Fly.
- When DJI Fly shows the firmware update prompt, tap it and follow the steps. Keep the aircraft, the remote and the phone switched on and close together until it finishes.
- After the update, restart the aircraft and the remote, then check your camera settings before you fly. Restart the goggles too if you use them, and set Return-to-Home altitude and maximum flight distance again.
If the update fails: restart the aircraft, the remote controller and DJI Fly, and try again. You can also update from a computer with DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drones Series).
