- 01.02.00.00 (6 Aug 2026): powers off the XY-axis and extruder motors while drying filament in the chamber, keeping only the heatbed lift motor on: lower energy use and quieter operation.
- Better spaghetti detection: faster, a higher detection rate, and fewer false positives in multi-colour prints and prints with complex textures.
- Optimised visual detection: you no longer need to calibrate the liveview camera.
- New default extrusion compensation for certain filaments, improving print quality in some cases.
- More stable and reliable cloud services.
- Bambu lists no known issues.

How to update
Bambu publishes an offline USB update guide that covers the X2D too (the same guide as the P2S).
Offline, with a USB drive:
- Put a USB drive in the printer and format it: Settings > USB Storage > Format External Storage.
- Download the offline update package for your printer from Bambu (button below).
- Eject the drive: Settings > USB Storage > Eject.
- Copy the package to the root of the drive. Don't rename it or unzip it: that makes the update fail.
- Put the drive back in. On the printer: Settings > Firmware > Update Offline, then choose the firmware version. It takes 20 to 30 minutes: don't turn the printer off or cut the power. It restarts by itself when it is done.
