The Sony FE 100-400mm F4.5 GM OSS is an all-new G Master super-telephoto built around a constant F4.5 aperture across the entire zoom range — a full stop brighter than the original 100-400mm GM at 400mm, and unmatched by any other mirrorless lens reaching 400mm. An internal zoom design keeps the barrel length fixed while zooming (the older lens extends from 205mm to 289.6mm), which matters for video and gimbal work. Four XD Linear Motors with a floating focus system drive fast, precise autofocus.
