The GoPro Mission 1 Pro is the most capable camera GoPro has ever built into a body this small. It leads the new Mission 1 series — a line of compact cinema cameras designed to go beyond a traditional action camera and into real production. If you need genuine cinema resolution, high frame rates and professional audio without carrying a full rig, this is a camera that fits in a jacket pocket yet still earns a place on a serious shoot.

At its heart is a 50MP 1-inch sensor — far larger than the chips in typical action cameras — paired with GoPro's new GP3 processor, which roughly doubles the pixel-processing power of previous generations. The bigger sensor gathers more light and detail for cleaner images and stronger low-light performance.

Video is where the Mission 1 Pro stretches its legs. It records Open Gate 8K30 and 4K120 across the full 4:3 sensor area — ideal for reframing, vertical social cuts and post-production flexibility — plus 8K60, 4K240 and 1080p960 in 16:9 for slow motion and high-resolution masters. With 10-bit color, HDR, GP-Log2 and timecode sync, the footage drops straight into a professional grade and edit.

Sound is treated with the same seriousness. The camera records 32-bit float audio, so usable tracks can be recovered even when levels are set wrong, while internal microphones keep things simple for solo shooters.

HyperSmooth stabilization smooths handheld and high-motion shots. On the stills side, it shoots 50MP photos.

True to GoPro, the body is built to take a beating: it is waterproof to 20 m (66 ft) straight out of the box with no housing, and an optional Protective Housing extends that to 60 m (196 ft). The new 2150mAh Enduro 2 battery delivers over 5 hours at 1080p30 and over 3 hours at 4K30, and runs cooler for longer than any previous GoPro — so long takes are less likely to end in an overheating warning. A larger OLED display makes framing and menus easier in the field.
