Questions our customers asked
What does 0.71x mean?
It shrinks the image onto the smaller sensor, so the view is wider and the aperture is about one stop brighter.
Does autofocus work?
Yes. Viltrox says autofocus, auto exposure and image stabilisation stay working.
Want a wider view and more light from your Canon EF lenses on Micro Four Thirds?
The Viltrox EF-M2 II is a 0.71x focal reducer that adapts Canon EF lenses to Micro Four Thirds cameras. Viltrox says it gives a one-stop brighter aperture and keeps autofocus, auto exposure and image stabilisation working.
- Lenses: Canon EF
- Cameras: Micro Four Thirds
- Focal reducer: 0.71x
- Brighter aperture: by one stop
- Optics: 5 elements in 4 groups
- Autofocus and image stabilisation: supported
- Firmware updates: micro USB port
- Size and weight: 67 x 20 mm, about 118 g
Good to know: A 0.71x reducer makes your lens wider: a 50mm lens acts like about 35mm on the same camera. Check that your lens is a Canon EF lens.
