The FUJIFILM EF-20 is a compact shoe-mount flash for X-series and GFX cameras, with TTL and manual exposure control so you can either let the camera work out the power or set it yourself. Its guide number is 20 (metres, ISO 100) and colour temperature is 5600K. The head locks at 0, 45, 60, 75 and 90 degrees upward, which is what turns hard on-camera flash into soft light bounced off a ceiling or a wall. Coverage reaches lenses as wide as 32mm, and a flip-up wide panel extends that to 24mm (guide number then drops to 14). It runs on two AA lithium, alkaline or NiMH batteries, so a spare set is available anywhere, and weighs about 100g without them.
