The open-back studio reference, handmade in Germany.
The beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO is an open-back, over-ear studio headphone built for mixing, mastering and critical listening. Its open design gives a wide, spacious stereo image and detailed, transparent sound that lets you hear the fine details in your recordings. This is the 80-ohm version — an easy match for audio interfaces, mixers and computers.
Why studios and creators trust it
- Open-back, over-ear design for a wide, natural soundstage
- 80 ohms impedance — works well with interfaces, mixers and PCs
- Wide 5 – 35,000 Hz frequency range
- Soft, breathable velour ear pads for long sessions — replaceable
- 3 m single-sided straight cable with a screw-on 6.35 mm (1/4") adapter over 3.5 mm
- Handcrafted in Germany, built to be serviced and last
Note: the open-back design leaks sound both ways — best for studio, editing and quiet rooms rather than recording an open microphone in the same space.
