Questions our customers asked
Will the Sigma 56mm f/1.4 fit my Sony camera?
Yes. This is the Sony E-mount version for APS-C (DC) mirrorless cameras, so it fits Sony E-mount bodies. On a full-frame Sony body it is used in APS-C crop mode.
What comes in the box with the Sigma 56mm f/1.4?
The lens, lens hood LH582-01, front cap LCF-55mm III and rear cap LCR II.
What view does the 56mm give on a Sony APS-C camera?
56mm gives about an 84mm full-frame-equivalent view on an APS-C sensor, a classic portrait length with a 28.5° angle of view.
A compact APS-C portrait prime with beautiful telephoto compression.
The Sigma 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary for Sony E is a small, bright prime that gives a natural 84mm full-frame-equivalent view on APS-C bodies. Wide open at f/1.4 it separates your subject from the background with soft, smooth blur, and the stepping-motor autofocus is built to stay smooth and quiet, which suits video as much as stills. The body is compact at 66.5mm by 59.5mm and 280g, so it keeps a Sony E APS-C kit light enough to carry all day.
Who it's for: Sony E APS-C shooters who want a light, fast portrait prime for people, street, events and travel, and video creators who want a clean background look.
