The Hoya UX II CIR-PL is an 82mm circular polarising filter from Hoya's UX essential series. A polarising film sandwiched between two glass elements sits in a rotating front frame: turn it and you dial in how much reflected light is removed from non-metallic surfaces such as water, window glass and foliage, which increases saturation and improves contrast in one pass, in camera. The slim frame is designed so it will not vignette even on wide-angle lenses, and the filter works on both digital and film cameras.
