- If you value one-lens simplicity, fast AI autofocus, and serious video specs, yes — it's a genuine step up from the RX10 IV in autofocus and video, at a real premium. If you mainly want maximum zoom reach for the lowest price, a longer-zoom smaller-sensor camera may suit you better.
- Why the same 20.1MP sensor as 2017?
- Sony kept the proven sensor and lens, and put the upgrade into the processor, autofocus, and video pipeline — the resolution wasn't the bottleneck, speed and tracking were.
- Does it have a built-in flash?
- No — the built-in flash was removed in this generation. The hot shoe still supports external flashes.
- When will it arrive in Oman?
- Expected delivery is 15–30 August 2026, with official Sony Oman warranty.
