Privacy notice — Skyorbits app

What we collect. Your mobile number (to sign you in with a WhatsApp code), your name, your email if you add it, your delivery address, your orders and rental requests, your device's notification token, and the device type and app version. If you attach photos to a return request, we use them only to review that request and keep them with it. When you tap 'Notify me when it's back' on a product, we keep that request and tell you once when it is available again. If the app crashes, a technical crash report: device type, system and app version, and where in the app the error happened — without your name or number. This version of the app does not track your location. If you apply for in-house installments, we ask for your full name, nationality, source of income and monthly income, only to review your application, and keep them with your order. In-house installments are for Omani nationals aged 18 and over, orders from 200.000 OMR, subject to approval; bank card plans for everyone else. If you sign in with Google or Apple: your name, your email address and an account number from Google or Apple (Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your email). We use them only to sign you in and run your account; we never receive your Google or Apple password.

Job applications. If you apply for a job in the app, we collect what you fill in (name, WhatsApp number, email, nationality/residency, city, availability, experience, expected salary, your answers and links) and your CV if you attach one. We use them only to review your application and contact you, keep them for 12 months, then delete them; you can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.

Why. To sign you in, process your orders and rental requests, deliver to you, and send order updates. We send offers only if you switch them on inside the app, and you can switch them off at any time. When you send a sourcing request, an organisation quote request, a Creators Program application, a sell-your-gear enquiry or a rental suggestion, we use what you write only to answer that request. If you subscribe to offers by WhatsApp, we keep your number on our WhatsApp offers list and send our offers and your welcome code; send STOP to end it anytime.

Where your data is kept. On our servers hosted by Hostinger in Malaysia, outside Oman; by using the app you agree to your data being kept there. Notifications and crash reports pass through Google Firebase, whose servers are outside Oman; it receives your device token, the app's installation ID and your connection's IP address along with the notification text and the technical report. We do not use these identifiers for advertising or to track you across other apps. When you tap a WhatsApp button in the app, WhatsApp opens with the message text and our number, and these reach WhatsApp (Meta) under their privacy policy. Nothing is sent to WhatsApp until you tap the button yourself. For card payments, Bank Muscat's secure SmartPAY page opens inside the app and you enter your card details on the bank's page directly. Your card details never reach our servers and we do not store them.

How long. While your account is active, then for 5 years after your last transaction, as Omani tax law requires for sales records. Sign-in codes are deleted automatically when they expire.

Your rights. See, correct and delete your data (in the app: Account → Delete account), withdraw consent, and object to marketing. We answer within 45 days at most. You may complain to the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.

Security. Sign-in codes are stored only as a one-way hash, app sessions are short-lived, and the app carries no admin password.

Age. Buying and renting through the app is for people aged 18 and over.

Changes. When this notice changes, the app shows the new version before you continue.
