How to update
- Make sure X4 Air has at least 20% battery.
- Connect it to the Insta360 app. The app tells you when a new firmware is available: follow the on-screen steps.
- Keep the app open (don't exit or minimise it) until it finishes. If it fails, restart the camera and try again, or use a computer.
Or with a computer: connect the camera with the official USB cable and choose "File Transfer" mode, download the firmware from Insta360's page (button below) and copy Insta360X4AirFW.bin to the root of the camera's storage without renaming it. Disconnect the camera: the update starts (the light flashes blue slowly) and the camera restarts when it is done.
