Hollyland Mars 4K firmware update
OptionalWhat's new
- Fixes the screen flashing when the unit starts up.
- Earlier versions: lower latency (V1.0.1.3) and fixes for known issues (V1.0.1.4).
Should you update?
Optional
Only needed if your screen flashes when you switch on, or your units are older than V1.0.1.3. Don't update before an important shoot.
How to update
- Use a small USB flash drive (16 or 32 GB) formatted as FAT32. Download the firmware from Hollyland's page (button below) and put the file in the root of the drive, not inside a folder.
- Make sure the unit has enough power. Connect the drive (a USB-C drive, or a USB drive with an OTG adapter) and turn the unit on: it finds the file and updates by itself.
- Don't unplug the drive during the update.
- When it is done, check the firmware version in the device information.
Hollyland: an update carries some risk, so don't do it before an important shoot. Hollyland's page doesn't say whether the file is for the transmitter, the receiver or both: check the version on each unit.
Let us update it for you
Book an appointment and our salesman updates your device in our showroom: 2.000 OMR if you bought it from Skyorbits, 5.000 OMR if you bought it elsewhere (incl. VAT, paid in the showroom).
When you book, type the version your device shows now (see How to update above). He checks it first: if your device is already up to date, he tells you and you don't need to come.
We take each update's notes from the maker's own page. An update can reach devices in Oman a few days after it is published. Every fact double-checked against the maker's page: 17-10-2026
