Worth installing; keep it powered during the update.
How to update
- Connect the Shinobi II to mains power with a USB-C power adapter (at least 10W), or use a fully charged NP-F battery. It must not lose power during the update.
- Download the firmware ZIP from Atomos' page (button below; it covers the whole Shinobi family, so scroll to Shinobi II) and extract it.
- Format an SD card (MS-DOS (FAT) on a Mac, FAT32 or NTFS on Windows) and copy all the .BIN files from the ZIP to the root of the card.
- Put the card in the Shinobi II and turn it on with a short press of the power button. After the Atomos logo, the update starts by itself.
- When it asks you to restart, wait a few seconds, then hold the power button to turn it off and turn it on again. Check the version in the Main menu > Info tab.
