Questions our customers asked
How much weight can one ES01 hold?
Godox rates one ES01 for up to 0.6 kg, which covers compact flashes such as the iT32 and up to the V480. Heavier lights such as the AD300Pro II need Godox's separate three-unit ES01 K3 kit (up to 2 kg).
Which surfaces does it stick to?
Clean, smooth, non-porous surfaces: glass, tile, metal and car windows. Godox says an uneven surface can reduce the suction.
What happens if the suction drops while I shoot?
The built-in motor starts again by itself to restore the suction. If the buzzer sounds and the red light comes on, the battery is low: remove the mount and recharge it.
How do I charge it and how long does it take?
By USB-C (5 V, 0.5 A). The built-in 200 mAh lithium battery takes about 1 hour to charge, and a USB-A to USB-C cable is in the box.
Need a flash or compact LED somewhere a stand will not go? Press once and it holds on glass, tile or metal.
The Godox ES01 is a motorized suction holder. Put it on a clean, smooth, non-porous surface and press the button: the motorized vacuum pump makes the hold for you, with no manual pumping. If the vacuum drops while you shoot, the built-in motor starts again by itself to restore the suction. One press on the side button lets the air out when you are done.

- Low-battery warning: when the buzzer sounds and the red light comes on, take it off and recharge it

Check before you buy: one ES01 is rated for 0.6 kg. Heavier lights such as the AD300Pro II are for Godox's separate three-unit ES01 K3 kit (up to 2 kg), which is a different product. Using it on an uneven surface or above the rated load can reduce the suction.
In the box (Godox list for the ES01): motorized suction cup, 1/4" cold shoe mount, hex wrench, USB-A to USB-C charging cable.
