Questions our customers asked
Will this lens fit my Canon R5, R6 or R8 (full-frame)?
It mounts, but it's an APS-C lens — full-frame RF bodies auto-crop to about 1.6x when they detect it, cutting resolution (roughly 8-9MP on a 20-24MP body). For full resolution, use it on Canon's APS-C RF bodies: EOS R7, R10, R50, R100.
What comes in the box?
Lens hood (LH586-01), front cap and rear cap.
Is this the lightest option in the F1.4 prime line?
Yes — at 285g on Canon RF it's the lightest of Sigma's DC DN F1.4 primes, and the cheapest in this batch, while keeping the same F1.4 speed.
Sigma's lightest F1.4 DC DN prime — a classic ~48mm-equivalent standard lens for everyday shooting and portraits.
A do-everything standard prime: portraits, product shots and general content, all at F1.4.
- Focal length: 30mm (≈48mm full-frame equivalent on Canon RF APS-C)

- Diaphragm: 9 rounded blades
- Minimum focusing distance: 30cm (11.8 in)
- Maximum magnification: 1:7
- Filter thread: 52mm
- Weight: 285g (10.1 oz) on Canon RF
- Autofocus: Stepping motor; rubber mount seal
What's in the box: Lens hood (LH586-01), front cap and rear cap.
Mount note: This is an APS-C-only lens (Sigma's "DC" / "DC DN" line), not a full-frame lens. It physically mounts on any Canon RF body, but it's built for the smaller APS-C sensor — Canon's full-frame RF bodies (EOS R5, R6, R8, R3, R1 and similar) automatically switch to a roughly 1.6x cropped mode when they detect it, cutting resolution hard (about 8-9MP on a 20-24MP full-frame body). For full-resolution results, use it on Canon's APS-C RF bodies: EOS R7, R10, R50, R100 and similar.
