Sony's Creators' App just shipped two updates: pulling short highlight clips straight out of footage you've already shot, and streaming live to Facebook with zero extra setup. Here's what's new, how it actually helps day to day, and the links to update.
What's New in This Update
Extract Motion Photos
A Motion Photo is a short highlight clip pulled from video you've already recorded on your camera — not a separate recording step. While you're filming, pressing the Shot Mark button on your camera marks the moment; Creators' App then auto-extracts that segment and sends it to your phone. Prefer to decide afterward? You can skip the in-camera marking entirely and just select the clip yourself inside the app once the footage has been transferred.
Say you're filming a friend's kite-surfing session, a product unboxing for a Reel, or your kid blowing out birthday candles — you don't need to have been recording with one eye on "will I need this later." Shoot normally, mark the moment it happens, and the highlight is waiting on your phone, full resolution, ready to post.
This update adds the 3-second length — the shortest option yet, built for quick-cut social clips. The 15/30/60-second options were already there.
Live to Facebook, Directly
Alongside the existing YouTube option, you can now go live on Facebook straight from the app — no manual RTMP setup, no hunting for a stream key in Facebook's creator tools. If you've ever given up on going live because the setup took longer than the stream itself, this removes that step entirely.

استخراج Motion Photos
الـMotion Photo هو مقطع فيديو قصير مسحوب من فيديو صورته أنت أصلاً بكاميرتك — مو خطوة تصوير منفصلة. وأنت تصوّر، لو ضغطت زر Shot Mark على الكاميرا وقت اللحظة الحلوة، تطبيق Creators' App يسحب هذا المقطع تلقائي ويرسله لجوالك. تفضّل تقرر بعدين؟ تقدر تتجاوز العلامة من الكاميرا كلياً وتختار المقطع بنفسك من داخل التطبيق بعد ما تنقل الفيديو.
مثلاً تصوّر صديقك وهو يتزلج على الماء، أو فتح منتج جديد لريلز، أو ولدك ينفخ شموع عيد ميلاده — ما تحتاج تكون مصوّر وبالك "بس لو احتجته بعدين". صوّر عادي، علّم اللحظة وقت ما تصير، والمقطع جاهز على جوالك بأعلى جودة، جاهز للنشر.
هذا التحديث يضيف طول 3 ثواني — أقصر خيار لين الحين، مصمم لمقاطع السوشال السريعة. خيارات 15 و30 و60 ثانية كانت موجودة من قبل.
بث مباشر لفيسبوك مباشرة
بجانب خيار YouTube الموجود، الحين تقدر تبث مباشر على Facebook من داخل التطبيق مباشرة — بدون إعداد RTMP يدوي، وبدون ما تدوّر على مفتاح بث بأدوات فيسبوك للمبدعين. إذا قبل كذا تركت فكرة البث المباشر لأن الإعداد ياخذ وقت أطول من البث نفسه، هذي الخطوة انحلّت كلياً.
